Research Notes
Keziah and her husband, James Partridge, were third cousins, but genetically (and probably culturally) much closer. This was because three generations up the line, two Martyn sisters, Anne and Magdalene, had married two Bullard brothers, Robert and John. The next generation of children, Magdalene and Benjamin Bullard, were double first cousins, with DNA similarities comparable to that of siblings, and were actually brought up in the same household.
