Edward Bulstrode was born in 1474 in Horton, Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire, England, son of Richard Bulstrode (~1440–1502).. He was 28 years of age at the time of the IPM of his father, Richard Bulstrode, in 1502. [1]
According to the Visitation of Buckinghamshire, 1634, Edward, the son of Richard Bulstrode and Alice Kniffe, married Mary Empson and their son was George. He also married Margaret the widow of John Ashfield, esquire, and they had a daughter Cecily.[2]
Mary Empson and Edward were likely contracted in marriage very young in 1483/4, assuming that the Visitation of Co. Buckingham is correct, with their first child born in 1490 when they were both about 16 years old..[2]
In 1512, Edward Bulstrode, of Upton, Bucks, gentleman, and Margaret his wife, the executors of John Asshefeld, were defendants for debt in Common Pleas.[3]
