Oliver R. Bunting, age 77, well known resident of Parkersburg passed away this morning, Dec. 15, 1970 at the Richland Memorial Hospital.
A native of Richland County, Mr. Bunting was born the son of David Bunting and Mary Ann Kent Bunting. He was married to Alta May Doty on January 28, 1920. Mr. Bunting was a veteran of World War I and a member of Richland Barracks of World War I veterans. He was one of the original employees of Richland Memorial Hospital and served as an orderly for several months. He was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Church and at the time of his death was serving as an Elder of the church.
He leaves his wife, Alta May, and two children; Mrs. Lora Ethel Stevens of Alvin, Texas and David Bunting of Olney. There are 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Lawrence Bunting of Olney is a brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lora Wyatt, Ethel Bunting, Clara Buntingt, Ed Bunting, Elwin Bunting, Sim Bunting, Arthur Bunting, and Johnny Bunting.
