In 1723 word hy vermeld as boer naby Groenekloof. [6] Hy verkry 'n weilisensie vir die "vee lecthplaas" genaamd Houd Constant in 1729, en het dus waarskynlik elke jaar daar met sy vee kom lê. In 1730 kry hy die weislisensie vir die plaas langsaan Houd Constant. Dit is waarskynlik die plaas waar sy broer Willem 'n paar jaar lank kom lê het, want op die lisensie word dit genoem Willems Valley. Dit is op ' gedeelte van lg plaas dat Porterville later tot stand sou kom. (Die Eerste Eeu van die NG Gemeente Porterville, CF Albertyn, uitgegee deur NG Kerk Porterville.) [2][6]

Sy testament is dateer 27 Des 1727 (CJ 2604, 21). [6][2] Inligting oor die familie word gevind uit die gesamentlike testament van 1748 asook die boedelrekening van Gerrit van Hoeting, wat getroud was met die dogter Anna Sophia Burger. In lg dokument van 1752 word die vier jongste kinders as minderjariges vermeld en hul erflating van hul suster is aan die weesheer inbetaal. [2][6] In hul testament van 1748 laat Andries en Martha die opstal op hul leenplaas in die Willems Valleij over de Vier en Twintig Rivieren aan hul seuns Andries en Jacobus Abraham na. [2][6]
