Caroline Burgess was born on 07 Oct 1858[1] in Ellalong, New South Wales, Australia as the sixth child of James Burgess and Caroline (Spackman) Burgess. She had seven siblings, namely: Harriett, Jane, William Thomas, Joseph, David, Anne and Sarah. She died on 30 Oct 1919[2] in Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia. When she was 17, she married Thomas Crossley, son of Thomas Crossley and Ann Bailey, on 20 Apr 1876 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia.
