DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.

Hi Carol, Mary (Burgess) Ellis, wife of Elnathan Ellis and daughter of John Burgess & Sarah Nickerson, could not be the wife of Ebenezer Babcock. Their daughter Mary was married to Elnathan Ellis from 1716 until her death in 1730, all the while having children with him. There was originally a link between Elnathan Ellis & this Mary (Burgess) Babcock that I've removed.
