Biography

Caleb Clark Burgess was born on November 2, 1783 at Newport, Hants, Nova Scotia. He married Sarah Wood.

In 1817, Caleb and his family were counted in the census return for Rawdon Township, Hant, Nova Scotia.[1] The family count:

Caleb passed away on August 5, 1853 in Nova Scotia, and is buried in the South Rawdon Baptist Church Old Cemetery, South Rawdon, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada.[3]

Caleb Clark Burgess, son of Edward Burgess and Elizabeth Sanford, was born at Newport, Nova Scotia in 1783.[4] He died 5 Aug 1853 (aged 69) and was buried at South Rawdon Baptist Church Old Cemetery, South Rawdon, Hants County, Nova Scotia.[5] Caleb married as his first wife, Hannah Sanford, daughter of John Sanford and Rachel Bentley. They had two daughters. Hannah died shortly after Susan’s birth.[6]
