Patience Burgess, was probably born about 1662 in Yarmouth based only on an age of under 45 at the birth of her last known children. She married Jonathan Nye about 1690 as their first child was born in Sandwich in 1691. Jonathan was the son of Benjamin Nye. Patience was the second wife for Jonathan. They had nine children.[1] Patience was still living when she was named in her husband's will dated 07 Jul 1744 in Sandwich.
