MRS. ELIZABETH CALLON
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Callon was born in Brown county, Ind., August 16, 1835. When she was 20 years of age she was married to Leonadus Callon, who preceded her in death many years ago.
To this union were born eleven children, six of whom survive: Wm. Callon and Mrs. Hannah Weinhold of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Westfall of Derby, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Wilkey of Nebraska; Mrs. Iva Loney of Oakley, Iowa; and Mrs. Lou Throckmorton of Derby, Iowa.
Three of her children were with her to the last, doing everything in their power to make her last hours on earth as comfortable as possible.
When only 16 years of age Mrs. Callon joined the Baptist church and for nearly 74 years was a faithful and consistent follower of Jesus Christ.
