DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

What I've read on the father for James Burgin (Thomas Burgin, possibly Jacob Burgin) is that he most likely is from the Baltimore County, Maryland family line. Ramon Burgin was writing a book (he sourced information from Peggy Silvers book "Echoes in the Mist") that Jacob was connected into the Pioneer Ben family that is in North Carolina which goes back to Maryland. So for me, without any immigration or some type of records (besides family lore), it's still a mystery of if this person is Thomas Burgin, Jacob Burgin, or a combination of the two.

Burgin-715 and Burgin-98 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, exact same wife, same son James. (James birthdate is exactly the same on both profiles).
