Yesterday a report was current on the streets that two fishermen employed in Judson's factory on Governor's Island had lost their lives while on the way from the Island, to the city on Wednesday afternoon. The names of the unfortunate men are Frank MacCormack and Fred Burke the latter of Georgetown. It is alleged the men come in the afternoon shortly before the squall stuck in, and after the squall there was no sign of the boat. The boat it is claimed was heavily ballasted.McCormack is about 20 years old and is the son of Mr Paul McCormac, who with his family operate a lobster factory at Governor;s Island. Mr McCormac, father of Frank McCormac was in the city yesterday afternoon but was unable to confirm any of the rumors current. The general opinion is that the young men have lost their lives.
