Biography

James was born on 6 February 1773 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Francis Burke and Eunice (Marsh) Burke.^[1]

James Burk was an early settler in Darlington Township, Durham, Upper Canada (Ontario).^[2]

James died at the age of 69 on 16 February 1842 in Darlington Twp, Durham, Ontario, Canada and was buried in Bowmanville Cemetery, Ontario.^[1]
