Biography
From The Annals of Ulster:[1]
- 1403: "Great war arose between the Earl of Ormond and the Earl of Desmond in this year, and the two MacWilliam de Burghs[2] with their muster went to assist the Earl of Ormond."
The nickname "MacWilliam de Burgh" was often used to refer to this branch of the family, regardless of the father's first name.
