Biography

Wayne V. Bjork, as he was known, was born in New York City 2 August 1901 to Finnish immigrant parents, Johan Joel Björk and Maria L. Hinell. He served with the United States Marine Corp, enlisting by October 1946 and on the rolls as of 31 July 1953. NOTE: This is his reserve dates, he has prior service, but sources need to be found.

Wayne was married to Marion Williams. They had one child, Edward Wayne Bjork (1937-1996).

He was a Marine, but if these are all of his enlistments, it seem unlikely that this was him. He would have been 45 at his initial enlistment and that is too old.
