Sarah Elizabeth (Burks) Dunson was born about 1835 in Stockbridge, Henry, Georgia, United States, daughter of Henry Burks (1803 - 1864).
Her sister was Mariah J Burks (1834 - 1880).
Sarah (~19) married William Henry Dunson (21) (1833 - 1913) on 20 Feb 1855 in Henry County, Georgia. Their children were:

- Cornelia Jemma (Dunson) Hall (1857 - 1908)
- David H Dunson (~1861 - ~1896)
