Hester (or Esther) Burnett was born in 1653 or 1654, in Southampton, Long Island. She was the probably the daughter of Thomas Burnett (d. ca. 1684), who had immigrated to Long Island from Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony in October of 1643, and his wife, Mary (Unknown).[1]
Hester Burnett Leaming died on 5 Nov 1714, in either Long Island City, Queens, Province of New York or East Hampton, Suffolk County, in the Province of New York.[citation needed]
