Biography

Charles was born in 1743. He passed away in 1810. [1]

Research Notes

There is no evidence that Charles was the son of Jeremiah Burnett bn 1718. The research paper in the images section details how this person did not exist. This Charles is "believed" based on YDNA testing to be a descendant of John and Lucretia Burnett through their son Charles' line. However, both YDNA testers are sons of a John Burnett who moved from Grainger to Marion County TN, there is no primary source paperwork connecting them to Charles Burnett who married Catherine Brock. These testers however have atdna matches to both the Brock family and the Acuff family. Research on Charles is ongoing and is being lead by the FTDNA surname project Des of John and Lucretia Burnett. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Charles by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Charles:
