John Moses Burnett BIRTH unknown Virginia, USA DEATH 1781 Virginia, USA BURIAL Burial Details Unknown, Specifically: Killed by Indians Winchester, Shenadoah Valley, Frederick Co., VA MEMORIAL ID 71977279 John "Moses" Burnett married Rachel Morley in Virginia about 1770. The children of Moses and Rachel were John, Robert, William, Moses Jr. and Letitia "Lettuce". About 1780 Moses was farming on the headwaters of the Patomac River, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and in the spring of 1781 he was captured by the Indians and murdered. His family were in a fort at the time and and none of them were taken. After Moses death his widow, Rachel, married Benjamin Carter.
