the Youngstown Vindicator (Youngstown, OH) on 16 Apr 1965 John M. Burns, 61, of 135 E. Avondale Ave., died of cancer at 12:40 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Hospital, following an illness of 15 months. Mr. Burns was born Sept. 21, 1903, in Youngstown, a son of John and Susan Donahue Burns, and spent his life here. He was a salesman 25 years for Patterson-Buckeye Co. He was a member of St. Dominic Church and its Holy Name Society. Besides his wife, the former Ann Ralston, whom he married June 8, 1935 in Cleveland, Mr. Burns leaves two sons, Jack E. with the Air Force in Duluth, Minn., and Richard M. of Youngstown; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Murphy of Youngstown; a brother, Richard of Youngstown; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Mirto of Youngstown, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson Funeral Home
