Sarah, Thank you about the message about Charity Adkins and the mt DNA results. I've known about this and it proves what I have suspected for a long time.

Hi Sarah,

Well, it is good to know the truth. I guess it is back to the drawing board. Jeanette

Hi Sarah,

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Let me know. I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders.

Sallie - I too am a direct descendant of the Shelton clan. My roots are in Grayson County, Virginia where we have been residing since the early 1700s.

From where does your Shelton clan originate? Also, have you found family with different spellings e.g. Chelton?

Thanks in advance to your response. Carol

Hey Sarah,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

I would like to contribute to WikiTree. I am an experienced genealogist who has traced many ancestral lines related to both my husband and myself and am looking forward to adding information to WikiTree as time permits.
