Biography

Alexander Abner Burns II was born about 1786 in Henry County, Virginia, United States, son of Alexander Burns Sr (1747 - 1829) and Mary Ellen (Roach) Burns (1746 - 1829).

His siblings were:

  2. Jonathan Burns Sr (1790 - 1857)
  3. Stephen Burns (1792 - 1856)

Alexander married Lucretia Horton (1791 - 1870) in 1804. Their children were:

  1. Charles Burns (1808 - 1908)
  2. John G Burns (1812 - 1850)
  3. Elisha Burns (1817 - 1860)
  4. Alexander H Burns III (1821 - 1900)
  5. Calvin Burns (1823 - 1883)
  6. Olive (Burns) Hulsey (1827 - 1918)
  7. Miles Van Buren Burns (1834 - )
  8. Eliza A Burns (1837 - 1850)
  9. Wade C Burns (1839 - 1860)

In 1830, Alexander was living in Walker County, Alabama.[1]

In 1850, Alexander was living in District 12 Walker County, Alabama.[3]

He died, at the age of 65-66, on February 1, 1852 in Walker County, Alabama. He is buried at the Burns Rivers Cemetery, Blount Springs, Blount County, Alabama.[4]
