R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the passing of Doris Evelyn Brown of Buna on April 19, 2013, at the age of 85; and WHEREAS, A native of Huntington, Mrs. Brown moved to Kirbyville in 1981 and lived there for three decades; she resided in Buna for the last two years of her life; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Brown was blessed with three children, Rick, Sandra, and Debbie, and with the passing years, her family grew to include 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Doris Brown treasured the time she spent in the company of her loved ones, and those she leaves behind will in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring woman; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Doris Evelyn Brown and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her children, Rick Brown and his wife, Penny, Sandra Gilchriest and her husband, Buck, and Debbie Frewin and her husband, Darryl; to her sisters, Vernell Dore and Katie Shannahan; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Doris Evelyn Brown.
