Andrew Caddell Burns (son of John Richmond Burns, Sr. and Elizabeth Jane Long)1 was born February 09, 1857 in Texas1, and died June 14, 1939 in Shelby County, Texas1.He married Martha Lyons in Texas1. Includes NotesNotes for Andrew Caddell Burns: [Hewitt.FTW] Andrew Caddell Burns moved from Sabine County in 1889 to Shelby County Texas, 7 or 8 miles south of Center, Texas. The family moved in 1901 to the Good Hope Community 3 miles southeast of Center and then to the Snow Hill Community in 1924 where he resided until death. He united with West Bethlehem Primituve Baptist Church in Newton County Texas on the 1st Saturday in May 1876. Baptized on Sunday after that by Elder J.R. Burns, the pastor. Moved his membership to Little Flock Church Sabine County Texas, the second Sunday in Dec. 1876 by letter. He was licensed to preach at little Flock Church at the regular meeting in April 1878. Ordained at Little Flock Church Sabine County, Texas a the regular meeting Sept. 1878. Walker Cemetery The Cemetery is located on private property on top of what is known as Snow Hill.It is about 1 mile into the woods and enclosed with 2 fences about 3 feet apart.
