Rebecca, also spelled Rebeckah, was married to Bowater Sumner on 1777, 12, 10, at Tom's Creek Quaker Friends Meeting House, then in Surry county, North Carolina. The meeting house was renamed in 1786 to Westfield Meeting House when the monthly meeting was established. This is according to the Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, Vol 1, Page 170.
