He married Thelma Wisner.[1]
He served his country during WWII in the US Army Air Force as a member of the Flying Tigers 449th Fighter Squadron attaining the rank of Tech Sergeant. A number of years after the war he re-entered the military enlisting in the US Air Force and retiring after 21 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant.[1]
Robert died on 5 Dec. 2012 at Victoria, Texas and was buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.[1] His memorial has a photo of his memorial plaque shared with Thelma.[2]
