Seth Curtis Burris was born in Kentucky in 1836 and served in Company F of the 44th Indiana Infantry for 9 months towards the end of the Civil War. He was married and had three small children when he enlisted. He died at the age of 77 of heart failure on January 5th of 1914, three years after the death of this wife.
He was buried at the Alfordsville cemetery next to his wife.
