Hi I am Terry a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well!
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
We also have our Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.
Welcome to our community, Debra. The more ancestors you add, the more likely cousins will find you and help expand the knowledge of your heritage through collaboration. :)
Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.
VERY IMPORTANT:
The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.
Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only one profile per person.
Searching paternal family. Looking for ancestors beyond 1770 Ireland. So far have gone as far as Arthur Burt in Glenavy (Antrim) Ireland, but cannot find any documentation there. Willing to help other Burt's with information found during my searches.
A few employees and a whole lot of volunteers are working together to create a FREE global family tree with only one profile per person. If you'd like to help us by adding your family branches or help to grow the tree in some other way, please select the volunteer button and leave a statement informing us of your interest in our project.
