Biography

Born Augustus Carenus or Cyrus Burt about 1860 to John Burt and Nancy Rollins in Wake County, North Carolina. Determination of mother's name is from death record of brother Benjamin Burt.[1]Married Susan Amanda Koonce of Jones County, and had at least four children.[2] Died in 1905 at age 45 and is buried in Trenton Municipal Cemetery, Trenton, Jones County, North Carolina.
