Biography

Birth and Children

Royal Burt was born in Minnesota.

Royal, the second of two children of Herman Meyer Burt and Mary Ann Peterson was born on 26 June 1903 at Utica, Minnesota.

In 1910, Royal was 6 years of age and living with his parents Herman (47 years, occupation Farmer) and Mary (49 years) and sibling Elsie (16 years) at Utica, Minnesota.[1]

Marriage and Children

Herman married Gladys Edora Moen, the daughter of Chris and Lena (Johnson) Moen on 26 June 1924 at Winona, Minnesota. [2]In addition to three daughters and one son still living, their children, born at Minnesota included:

  1. Marian Luella Burt (b. 1925; d. 28 May 2010)[3] m. 16 Apr 1945 at Chicago, IL, Kenneth James Burdick (1916-2010)
  2. Leroy Burt (b. 11 Oct 1926; d. 27 Nov 1926, Utica, MN)[4]
  3. Marlyn Argene Burt (b. 12 Jan 1930; d. 24 Jan 2014) m. 4 Jul 1955 at Winona, MN, Kay Marlene Woodward (1938-2018)

Death

Royal Herman Burt died on 23 September 1951 in his 58th year at Rochester.[5]He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery at Utica, Winona, Minnesota.[6]
