Biography

Arthur was born in 1870. ^[1] He was the son of Augustus Barclay Burwell and Martha Ann Haley.

US Census Date 1880: Living with his parents and sister Lillian in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire, United States. Aged 9 and attending school.^[2]

Tragically his father passed away in 1892, followed seven years later by his mother in 1899.

At the age of 25 Arthur married 25 year old Laura Caroline E Monks (daughter of John and Caroline Monks) on 15 October 1896 at Chelsea, Suffolk, Massachusetts.^[3]

They had one daughter; Eleanor.

In the census records for 1920 and 1930 Arthur was employed as a Clerk in the Post Office.

He passed away in 1932 at the age of 62.^[4]
