Biography

John was born about 1758 in Culpeper, Culpeper County, Virginia. He passed away about 1825 in Greenup, Kentucky, United States.

This is apparently a different John Bush than the Revolutionary War soldier born 2 Feb 1742 Orange VA died Mar 1798 Boonesborough, Clark Co. KY because he was married to Elizabeth Walton during the same time. Update: 9 Apr 2023 This Revolutionary War soldier is the son of Philip Bush who died 1771.

He apparently moved his family to Botetourt County by 1794, Rockingham County by 1798, Monroe County by 1809, and finally to Greenup County, KY about 1815. He was listed on the federal census there in 1820. He and Kesiah were the parents of:

  1. Edmund (m. Elizabeth Worken 5 Sep 1798, VA);
