WEDDING REPORT.—Bussell—Harmer.— St. Peter's Cathedral was beautifully decorated on Tuesday morning for the wedding of the Venerable Archdeacon Bussell and Miss Harmer, the sister of the Bishop of Rochester. The building was lit up, as the cerermony took place at half-past 8 in the morning, while the gorgeous vestments of the clergy and the appointments of the service made a splendid and solemn scene.
The Bishop of Adelaide, assisted by the Dean of Adelaide, tied the knot, and at the choral celebration afterwards, at which the bride and bridegroom alone partook of Holy Communion, Archdeacon Hornabrook and Canon Wise were the celebrants.
The Chief Justice of Adelaide gave away the bride, who wore white liberty satin, trimmed with Buckingham lace. The waist was high, and there were tucked net sleeves and yoke. The tulle veil, lightly embroidered, was fastened with orange blossoms, and she wore a string of pearls.
The only bridesmaid was Miss Rita Cussen, who wore a lovely white net dress over silk, much ornamented with lace motifs and insertion. Her hat was of reseda straw. The Rev. F. Severn was best man.
After the ceremony, which occupied over an hour, the Chief justice and Lady Way held a reception at Montefiore. Morning tea was served, and when the wedding cake (which had come from England) was cut, champagne was handed round, and the usual healths drunk. The speakers included the Chief Justice, Archdeacon Bussell, Mr. Severn, Sir Lancelot Surfing, and the Bishop of Adelaide. . . .
