J. E. BUTCHER DIES AT TORONTO James Edward Butcher of Drumbo passed away at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday, May 23, 1961. He had been in ill health for several years. Mr. Butcher was born at Hatchley, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Butcher. He operated a trucking business in and around Drumbo for a number of years. He was an adherent of the Drumbo Baptist Church, and a member of the Drumbo Hunt Club. Surviving are his wife the former Mabel McKibbin; one son, Carl, Toronto; one daughter, Sally Lu, Toronto; one brother, Jerry of Ingersoll; and one sister, Mrs. Erie Oatman of London. The funeral was held from Wilson's Funeral Home in Drumbo, Thursday, May 25th and was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. The pallbearers were Frank Hambly, Fred Wolf, Fred Hanke, Leslie McDonald, Roy Campbell, Joe Markle. The flower bearers were Murray Dayman, Charles Sippel, Murray Scott and Willis Hildred[2]
