Email Address Sign Up Gladys's Obituary Gladys Hopper, 93, passed away January 6, 2005. Gladys lived in the Belton, Raymore area all of her adult life. She married Homer Hopper in 1929, and they had seven children. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Homer, in 1981; son, Verlyn in 1994; daughter, Dorothy Bishop in 1999; and son, Darrell in 2003; brothers, Marion, James and Eldon Butcher; and sisters, Lucille Reading and Gaynell Potts. Gladys is survived by four children, Harold, Tucson, AZ, Robert, Bellingham, WA, Marilyn Cleveland, MO, and Larry, Belton, MO; brother, Roy Butcher, Washington; 35 grandchildren; and several great and greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, Cullen Funeral Home; with burial in Raymore Cemetery. Visitation 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Glady Wells Butcher Hopper was born January 28, 1911in Garfield County Oklahoma. She was born on what was called the Cherokee Strip

When Gladys was about 9 years old the family moved to Lamar Mo. so her brothers could go to high school. The family ended up in Peculiar Mo. where she ment Homer Hopper and the married in 1929.

Gladys and Homer had 8 children, 7 living to adult hood. Gladys is now in Heaven with her Husband and 3 of her adult children and the one child who died young and her parents and borthers and sister's.

Gladys would have been 94 years old on Jan 28, 2005. She went to heaven on Jan 6, 2005.

Her work here is done and now she is relaxing.
