In a 1763 will, William Butcher was made Executor of his brother Robert Butcher's estate and guardian to Robert's two young sons
William himself died in late 1781.[1] His will left provisions for four children: William, Naomi, Mary, and Robert, and for William's wife Frances Stevenson Butcher.

Not many records for this time in Delaware but my research shows that the Robert Butcher you have as the father is actually the grandfather. His son his William Job Butcher. Family Search also shows the same connections, albeit without reliable sources.
