All Saints' Church, Singleton, was the scene of a pretty wedding, on 26th. May, when the Rev. H. Linton, Rector, celebrated the marriage of Miss Hilda Butler, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. W. Butler, of Vere, and Mr A. G. Patterson, eldest son of Mr and Mrs V. Patterson, of Cookardinia, Culcairn. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a pretty frock of ivory, crepe de chine and georgette, trimmed with silver beads and girdle of silver roses; the train was of white satin, lined with pale pink georgette, trimmed with silver roses and beads. The bridal veil of embossed net was hold in position by a coronet of orange blossoms. The bride carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums and roses and asparagus fern, with white satin streamers, and was attended by her sisters, Miss Verlie Butler (bridesmaid) and Miss Merle Butler (trainbearer). The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a wristlet watch and a shower bouquet of cream and pink roses, with pink streamers, and the trainbearer received a gold bangle. Mr Reg Butler, brother of the bride, acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs W. Porter, aunt of the bride, where about 50 guests were entertained. Mr & Mrs Patterson left by the afternoon train for Katoomba, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride wearing a navy serge frock and black hat, also a diamond brooch, gift of the bridegroom. The presents wore numerous, and costly. Their future home is at Chatswood, Sydney.
