Biography

NOTE: Daughter of Richard Butler, of Stratford, NOT Richard Butler, of Hartford.

Phebe Butler, daughter of Richard Butler and his unknown wife, was born say 1642, based on the birth of her children. She married Benjamin Peat on 20 April 1662, also in Stratford.^[1] Her father had no records before 1650, so we can not tell where she was born, but they were in Stratford, Connecticut by 1650.

Benjamin Peat died in 1704. His will named sons Benjamin and Samuel and daughter, Mary Burrit. Wife Phebe was executrix.^[1]

Phebe was living 24 February 1724/5 when she conveyed to her son Samuel.^[1]
