Biography

Marion was born in 1860, just in time to be enumerated in the 1860 census. He was the son of Edward Butler and Mary Johnson.

Marion was married to Maggie Ann Hutchinson in Walnut, Pottawattamie County, Iowa on July 3, 1882.

He died on Christmas day, 1894, in Cass County, Iowa, and was buried in the Atlantic Cemetery on December 27, 1894.[1]. A memorial can be found at Find A Grave.

1860 - U.S. Federal Census - In 1860, Edward Butler and his family are living in River Forest, Randolph County, Indiana. The family consists of his wife May [sic] F., John W., 21, Robb B., 20, Edward B., 16; Alfred B.; 13, Mary E., 12; and Marion A., one month.[2]

December 25, 1894 - Death - Cass County, Iowa.
