Biography

When William Butler was born on September 29, 1731, in Culpeper, Virginia, his father, John, was 21 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 16. He married Mary Mason and they had nine children together. He then married Rosannah Courtney and they had five children together. He died in 1810 in his hometown, having lived a long life of 79 years.

He is the son of John Butler and Elizabeth Beach. [1]

Armistead & Nancy Butler divide the estate of their parents, William and Mary Butler according to the Deed of 1800.

Since the Culpeper County Personal Propert tax lists for the years 1805-1810 are missing, we can not accurately deduce when William Butler died, but it was certainly between 1804 and 1809.

Butler-25706 and Butler-2855 appear to represent the same person because: Though the wife is incorrect on the profile that I'm not the manager of, these two are the same people. The other profile not only has an incorrect wife but is missing a lot of information
