Biography

Patrick Butler did not immigrate to America. It is assumed he died in Ballaghaderreen or Kiltybranks. There is a Butler homestead, specifically House No. 24 ( and 25 and 26 ) in the 1911 census for Kiltybranks. One of the houses is still standing. [1]. Based on the lessor information in the 1853 Griffith's Valuation of Tenements in Kiltybranks, he appeared to have a business as well as some land that he leased from Rep. William Murphy [2].

It is presumed that he died in Kiltybranks and he is buried there.

His widow, Elsie Rhodes/Rhody/Roddy Butler, by 1889, was widowed and immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio around 1889, to be with her children who immigrated to America.
