Biography

Mary Ann Butler was born in 1837 in Scott County, Missouri. Mary Butler first married Elijah Green on February 8, 1863, had 2 daughters: Pernicia Gaberilla & Pairsetty Florida; then married Samuel Catherwood on April 19, 1874. both marriages in Scott County, Missouri.

In 1880 she was living in Marion, Ozark, Missouri as Mary Ann Cathaerwood [Catherwood], father's Birthplace Pennsylvania, mother's Birthplace Missouri, with 3 Catherwood daughters and 2 Green daughters. (Samuel Cathaerwood 43,Mary Ann Cathaerwood 43, Mary L. Cathaerwood 6, Margret Cathaerwood 3, Isabel Cathaerwood 5/12, Pernecia Green 12, Perzetta Green 9) [1]

She passed away 21 March 1888 and was buried in Catherwood/Riggs Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri. [2]
