Biography
Purtell Howard Butler was born on 31 May 1885 in MacDonald River, New South Wales, Australia as the second child of Sylvester Butler and Elizabeth Sternbeck. He had eleven siblings, namely: George Earl, Muriel Edith, Ruby Coral, Amy May, Collin Edgar, Percival Wiseman, Walter Irwin, Wallace Earl, Christian Hope, James Pearson, and Jane Isabel. He died on 11 Nov 1948 in Canterbury, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 29, he married Sarah Amelia Crane, daughter of William James Crane and Sarah Ann Cox, on 09 Sep 1914 in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia.
Purtell Howard Butler and Sarah Amelia Crane had the following children:
