Biography

Frances was born in 1860. She was the daughter of John Butler and Julia Elliston. “Marriages, Pavitt -Butler On .July 2, Ernest Alfred Pavitt, of North Borneo, to Frances Ethel, eldest daughter of the late J. J. Butler, "Esq., of Brooksby," Pontville, Tasmania.” [The Mercury, Hobart, 12 July 1898] Ethel died 17 Jan 1951 aged 91 years, both buried at Brighton, Hobart. “Deaths, Pavitt.-On January 17, 1951, at her residence, Claremont, Frances Ethel, wife of the late Ernest Alfred Pavitt, and daughter of the late J. J. Butler, Pontville, in her 91st year.” [The Mercury, Hobart, 18 Jan 1951] A window was erected for Frances & Ethel Pavitt, and John J & Julia & Margaret Amelia Butler.
