Biography
Patrick Butler was a farmer of Claggan, co Galway, born about 1803, and died 21/2/1881 aged 78.[1]
He held one acre at Claggan (par Cong) in Griffiths, alongside his brother Walter. Patrick also sponsored the baptism of Walter's daughter Bridget at Clonbur in May 1855.
Patrick married Winifred O'Connor and had at least three children: Patrick (b 1837), Mary (b 1850) married Andrew Diskin and Sarah.[2]
