I, Anderson Butler, do ordain, constutute, and appoint this my last will and testament, and do appoint my sons, John and William Butler, my Executors to cause it to be put into Execution: First I desire my wife, Mourning, live and be supported on the plantation whereon I now live, and whereas there is a stock (?) on the plantation, I desire if any of my daughters that is now single may marry, to have one cow and a calf - also unto my daughters Mehulda and Leminda one feather bed and furniture at their mother's death or their marriage, only (?) the lands I now live on, and all that my Executors before named, or the parts thereof, is to be equally divided between my children, herein after named: John, William, Edward, Jane, Sarah, Nancy, Rebecka, Adaline, Mahulda, Happy, Leurana, and Leminda -- One bay mare, a grey colt, and a sorrel colt that is not before mentioned or bequeathed, and all other property that I now am in ________ (?) of to remain for my wife's and family's use -- and at my wife's death, to be sold and be equally divided (to) the then surviving children -- all just debts to be paid and funeral charges -- there is a legacy left unto me in the state of Virginia by law, from my relations, (?) named John Butler (?) reference being had to my right and title thereunto will appar (?) after all costs (?) are paid for recovery thereof the profits therefrom arising, to be equally divided between my children above named.
