Florence May, daughter of James and Ellen Butler(Newman)was youngest of 9 children, raised in the Portsmouth area. Baptized on the 17 April 1889 at St Mary's, Portsea, family address 7, Alice Place. Florence married James John Perry on 24 Dec 1910 at St Mary's , Portsea. 1911 English Census she is listed living at 194, Chichester Rd, Portsmouth. A daughter was born on the 15 April 1912 and named her Florence May Perry. Florence died 10 August 1913 in the Infirmary at the Workhouse, informant on death certificate is husband James John Perry, home address 20, Langley Rd, Buckland, Portsmouth.
