Mary E. (Butler) Scott, 90, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Born in Bethany, Mo., on Dec. 17, 1911, Mrs. Scott had been a resident of St. Joseph since 1932.
A homemaker, she was a member of the New Testament Christian Church and Auxiliary to the Eagles Lodge, both of St. Joseph.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, George W., in 1988; and her parents, Otis G. and Florence Butler.
Surviving: a son, George B., St. Joseph; two sisters, Ruth G. McDaniel and Helen Crabtree, both of Bethany; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside memorial service and inurnment: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. The body has been cremated. Arrangements: Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the New Testament Christian Church, 3004 Pickett Road, St. Joseph, MO 64503.
