Cowra Free Press 3-6-1927 Page 6... Well known and popular resident of "The Lagoon" Bathurst, Mr Henry ( Major) Butler died at St Vincent's Hospital, Bathurst on Wednesday of last week. Age 72. He had been in indifferent health for sometime and underwent an operation which was successful, but his advanced age militated against his recovery. Late Mr Butler was born at Perthville, the only son of Mr Henry Butler who was one of the earliest residents of Perthville and who conducted the "Hen and Chicken" hotel for many years- The hotel was one of the places Ben Hall called when he was roaming the district with his band of outlaws...

THE friends of MR. HENRY BUTLER are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of his late beloved MOTHER (NASSIA BUTLER), to move from her late residance, Perth, TO-MORROW (Tuesday) AFTERNOON at 1 o'clock, and will arrive at All Saints' Cathedral about 3 o'clock.
