Agnes BUTTER, born about 1529, Dedham, Essex, ENGLAND. The daughter of Thomas Butter. She was alive in 1555, and if she was the spouse of Henry Rolfe, she preceded him in death, before 1558.[1]
Agnes was alive in 1555, when her father wrote in his will, "my daughter Agnes Rolfe." Thomas Butter also left her: "To Agnes Rolfe my ambling grey gelding."
Agnes married Henry Rolfe, before 1550, he wrote his will in 1558. Henry Rolfe mentions two children in his will: Richard and Margaret and gifts his wife's belongings to several people, including daughter Margaret.[2][3]
Research Notes
Agnes wasn't married to Henry Sherman, at the same time Agnes was married to Rolfe, Henry Sherman was married to a Agnes, possibly the daughter of Robert Perpoynt.
It is apparent that Agnes Butter the wife of Rolfe, and Henry Sherman's spouse have been mixed up together, resulting in an overlap of dates and children.
The burial date of 14 October 1580, does not belong to this Agnes, rather it belongs to Henry Sherman's wife. Thomas Butter in his will identifies his daughter Agnes as: "my daughter Agnes Rolfe", in the same will he idenifies Henry Sherman's wife as: "To Henry Sherman's wife." They were two different individuals. [3]

Butler-5074 and Butter-186 appear to represent the same person because: The last name at birth should be BUTTER, per the will of her father Thomas Butter. Both profiles have same dates, and both profiles mention married to same person
Agnes the daughter of Thomas Butter: he identifies his daughter Agnes in his will as:
"my daughter Agnes Rolfe
He wrote: "To Henry Sherman's wife" Thomas Butter didn't identify Henry's wife as his daughter.
BUTTER WILLS & DOCUMENTS
Agnes was married at the time of Thomas' will to Rolfe, and Henry Sherman was also married at the same time. So Agnes couldn't have been Henry Sherman's wife. She has been disconnected from Henry Sherman, and Sherman children. See Henry Sherman for the correct wife of Henry Sherman.
I am not certain Agnes Butler and Agnes Butter are the same. My reasoning is that I have Agnes Butter married to Henry Rolfe and they had three children between approx 1541 and 1551 which conflict with the other family. see:
