THE DEATH OF ISAAC BUTLER
Funeral Held at Oakdale Wednesday and Buried at Woodlawn Cemetery
County Line
"The remains of Mr. Isaac D. Butler, of Richwood, Ohio, arrived at Butler Station Tuesday evening. The remains were taken to the home of his brother J. J. Butler, where they lay until Wednesday morning. Many of his old friends and neighbors met the funeral party at the station as a mark of respect. At 10 o' clock Wednesday morning the funeral services were held at Oakedale, conducted by Reverends L. Sharp of Findlay, Kirk, of Bowling Green and Esterbrook of Deshler. The remains were interred in Woodlawn Cemetery, West of Deshler. Mr. Butler had come to the age of 52 years 9 months and 10 days, and was a native of Hancock county, Ohio. He was one of the stalwart sons of Uncle Aaron and Aunt Christina Butler, two well-known deceased pioneer parents of this vicinity. Mr. Butler was a man of stalwart and hardy psysique and his death, although lingering for about two months, comes as a shock. The mighty, as well as the frail, must succumb to the grim monster, Death. The widow, children and all the relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire vicinity in their hour of grief."
